Fresh Anti-Government Protests Erupt at Iranian Universities
Fresh anti-government protests have broken out at several Iranian universities in the wake of the reopening of campuses on Saturday.
After the crackdown in January , its considered as the first large-scale protests since the huge government crackdown in January, which left an estimated 3,100 confirmed dead, according to Iran, but possibly as high as 32,000, according to U.S. President Trump. It can be seen that in video footage, the students are burning the current national flag, while shouting Woman, Life, Freedom, and some even waving pre-revolutionary flags in support of the exiled monarchy. Reports have emerged of clashes between students and the pro-government Basij paramilitary force.
